RETREAT TO BE HELD ON THE LAND!
Description:
In these overwhelming times, let’s deepen refuge, as well as reconnect with community and our shared roots within the sacred web of life. This will be a time of contemplation and remembrance as we journey through the grief of so much loss and the hope of the human spirit, offering thanks for the beauty of this world.
Within contemplative quietude, supported by calm and insight meditation in a mindful, gentle retreat container, we will draw from teachings and practices that enable timelessness and openings into the heart medicine of love and compassion.
The retreat will source from a synthesis of the Theravāda Elder’s Way and Mahāyāna practices and teachings around Quan Yin’s compassionate Bodhisattva Path. This includes mantras, chanting, and ceremony. The retreat concludes with a Quan Yin Compassion Ceremony. In addition to Dharma talks, meditation instructions, and daily Yoga sessions, there will be small group meetings with the teachers.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Scholarship offerings: In returning to the land, we will also be returning to our pre-pandemic scholarship options and policies. All scholarship rates require a minimum fee ($50/night). Scholarships are limited to TWO per calendar year for on-land retreats. And, while we are not able to offer “pay what you can”-type of scholarships for in-person retreats, they are still available for online offerings as space allows.
Room Occupancy Update*: Starting with our “Living with Awareness” retreat on March 27, 2022, we will return to double occupancy rooms. Many of our rooms are single occupancy (only 16 of 80 rooms are double occupancy). We will also return to offering a “guaranteed single room” rate and these will be limited (16). This rate guarantees a single room while helping to support scholarships and all we do here at Spirit Rock. The remaining single rooms are not exclusive to the top end of the sliding scale; however, they are initially prioritized for those with serious medical needs.
*Subject to change depending upon COVID-19 situation.
Lottery Details:
Lottery applications are accepted between July 6, 2022 – July 27, 2022. Applications received after this date are automatically placed on the wait list (they will not be included in the first round of selections).
You will be notified about the lottery results within two weeks of the lottery close date. If you are notified that you have been offered a space, you will have two days to pay a deposit to accept/hold the space. If you don’t accept the space within this deadline, we will offer it to the next person in line.

RETREAT TO BE HELD ON THE LAND!
Description: In this restorative silent retreat, we’ll weave together practices from the Yoga and Dharma traditions to help you cultivate and embody the heart qualities known as the brahmavihāras: the “divine abodes” of kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. The spacious schedule is designed to support mindful presence within the flow of movement and stillness, nourishing your spirit and helping you reconnect with what matters most. There will be time to rest, be in nature, and find the natural rhythms of your own practice. Each day includes guided practice sessions that weave together a gentle, mindful Yoga session, seated meditation instructions, and Dharma reflections, as well as silent seated and walking meditation, open time for self-guided movement practice, and small group meetings with a teacher.
