Parenting by its very nature is both beautiful and challenging. Some of the deepest challenges in parenting come from within our own minds and hearts as we navigate the constant change, uncertainty, and triggering of our own childhood traumas. This four-part offering aims to be a safe space for parents to meditate, rest, share from the heart, and learn practical self-compassion practices to support their lives as people and as parents.
All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.

The Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Sangha is a weekly gathering of self-identified BIPOC practitioners that provides a safe place to meditate and explore the Dharma. As a beloved community, this sangha supports exploration of the Dharma in light of our experiences. Together, we will cultivate an environment that welcomes diverse voices and builds community.

RETREAT TO BE HELD ON THE LAND!
Prerequisite: At least ONE parent/caregiver must have attended a silent meditation retreat of at least 4 nights at a Buddhist meditation center.
Find joy in a retreat for the whole family! This will be a time for you and your family to rest, reconnect, play, and enjoy. This is a four-night residential retreat for adults and their children ages 7-15 years old.
The days will combine age-appropriate meditation and Dharma teachings, games, arts and crafts, nature time, and more. Kids and teens will have organized time each day to be with same-age peers, fully supervised by our outstanding mindful leaders. Adults will also have their own time to practice, relax, and receive Dharma from the teachers.
The family retreat creates a safe and nurturing environment where all family constellations, races, gender identities, and bodies are welcome and belong. Children and adults from participant families often forge lifelong friendships on this retreat.
IMPORTANT – Details on our current COVID Safety Protocols for In-person Retreats. Subject to change.
Sliding Scale (per person): $220-$1180; 4 nights including food and lodging.
Please consider paying at the highest rate that you can afford: your generosity supports Spirit Rock, staff, and your fellow practitioners. Any amount offered above the Base rate is a tax deductible donation to Spirit Rock, and your generosity will enable and support the participation of others. These fees do not include dana for the teachers.
Benefactor – $1180
Sustainer – $860
BASE – $560
Reduced Rate – $400
Mudita/Karuna Scholarship (for anyone who needs financial assistance, including fixed income folks) – $220
BIPOC Scholarship (for Black, Indigenous, and/or Persons of color) – $220
PLUS a donation to the teacher(s)
Scholarship offerings: We have returned to our pre-pandemic scholarship options and policies. All scholarship rates require a minimum fee ($55/night). Scholarships are limited to TWO per calendar year for on-land retreats. And, while we are not able to offer “pay what you can”-type of scholarships for in-person retreats, they are still available for online offerings as space allows.
Applications are accepted February 28, 2023. All applications are assigned a random number. Together with the random number we are balancing many additional variables to create equity, diversity, inclusion, and access. Those factors include: scholarship needs & availability, affinity group “membership”, age, gender balance, and experienced or new practitioners. Applications received after the close date are automatically placed on the wait list (and will not be included in the first round of selections). Notification rounds can move quickly in the first few weeks following the first acceptances, so we recommend staying ready. You may be accepted sooner than you realize!
You will be notified about the selection results within two weeks of the application close date. If you have been offered a space, you will have two days to pay a deposit to accept/hold the space. If you don’t accept the space within this deadline, we will offer it to the next person in line.
