Event Details
Date: Sunday, December 8, 2019; 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Sliding Scale: $0 – 108. Code NU2G19.
Online option available via Livestream: Register here.
Description:
During this day of practice, we will take inspiration from the Buddha’s own stories of his discovery of the Path to Awakening. Delving into his journey and the truths he discovered, we will discover our own capacity to realize those truths within us.
The day will be held in Noble Silence with Dharma teachings, guided and silent meditation and Q&A, and qigong.
Lunch:
Bring lunch for yourself and, if you wish, food to share with the monastics and fellow participants. You will have an opportunity to make offerings to the Ayyas as part of this monastic day of practice. Please bring only vegetarian food to share and please bring any serving utensils your dish requires. If your dish includes nuts, dairy or gluten, please label your dishes. We will have pens and paper on the food offering table for this purpose.
Other donations are also gratefully accepted, so if you would like to bring provisions for Aloka Vihara Forest Monastery, please click here for a dana list: https://alokavihara.org/support-2/dana-list
This program will be video and audio recorded for an online audience. By attending, you consent to being videotaped and included in the program recording.
