As the days become longer, let’s awaken from our winter hibernation and introspection into celebration and joy. The heart is an honored gateway to our most profound and boundless nature. Using the ancient and sublime blend of kirtan (chanting) and meditation, we can open the heart of infinite love. Kirtan in the Bhakti tradition taps the nectar of spiritual longing and devotion and invites us to surrender everything into the Sacred. Used together, kirtan and meditation can reveal the expansive view of our sky-like nature.

For more than 30 years of commitment to the art and spiritual practice of kirtan, Jai Uttal has cultivated a voice and musical style that carries the listener into the heart of devotion, prayer and healing. Through call-and-response group chanting, he guides beginning and experienced chanters to an ecstatic remembrance of the divine.

Young Adults (18-26) and Seniors (65+ with limited income) are invited to attend this day for $20.

CARPOOLING is always requested, and due to the large number of people expected at this event, cars with less than 3 people will be asked to pay a $10 non-carpooling fee. Bring more if you can! Spirit Rock only charges this fee for events that will be very full as we have pledged to help keep traffic down on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and we have limited onsite parking. You can find other people on our carpooling forum at our Online Bulletin Board For Ride Sharing. Folks who can OFFER a ride are usually needed.
