Cost: Sliding Scale $75 – 200. Code SG3D18.
How do we deepen while maintaining healthy and wholesome relationships when conflict arises? Sometimes good intentions lead to outcomes causing more harm than expected. Everyone is hurt. Restorative practices involve community building and healing circles that can provide transformative spaces for people to recognize their mutual interdependence and to explore challenging emotions and situations.
Through the lens of the Dharma, this daylong will provide an opportunity for participants to explore their capacity for resilience and emotional risk-taking as they improve their skills to address conflict and harm as it arises. Students are encouraged to bring a small item that represents something that holds special meaning that can be shared. It will be placed on the altar and returned at the end of the day.
This program will be supported by members of the Restorative Practice for Dharma Practitioners (RPDP) at East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC).
Teachings are appropriate for health care professionals as well as the general public. Skillful conflict management is imperative for a healthy and productive environment, both provided by and inhabited by care provider. Conflict in the workplace can create a strain on care provided. Tools and techniques will be provided during this daylong that care providers will be able to utilize and share with their clients.
Continuing Education (CE) credit available. See below for attendance requirements and more information.
