Prerequisite: Completion of at least two silent Vipassana residential retreats of five or more nights, and five years of Vipassana meditation practice. You must have completed the prerequisite before applying for this retreat. Workshop-style retreats do not count toward the retreat prerequisite.
Loving Awareness: practiced as mindfulness and metta is the gateway to liberation. During this meditation retreat, as experienced practitioners, we will join together to quiet the mind, open the heart, and see our human life with the eyes of wisdom. This is a newer retreat format in which we will continue our traditional alternating periods of sitting, walking, guided meditations; and add in daily periods of dialogue where we are engaged in Q & A sessions with the teachers and the group of practitioners attending the retreat.
The lottery is now CLOSED. Please be patient as this is a manual process.
Applicants were notified by email of their status on June 28. If you were selected in the lottery, you were sent an email with a special link to register and pay your retreat fees online. If you ended up on the waiting list, you were notified of your position on the list. ~Thank you for your practice of patience!
Also remember that the cost above is priced as a sliding scale. Please pay at the highest level of the sliding scale that you can afford. This allows others who need to pay less the opportunity to attend. Fee is for room and board. Teaching and staffing of the retreats is by donation at the end of the retreat.
