Retreat Description:
This online retreat will be largely taught in the style of Sayadaw U Tejaniya. We’re excited to be offering this form of practice as it is particularly well suited to continuity of awareness in daily life as well as formal sitting and walking.

For the daily schedule, there will be two sessions per day: a morning instruction sitting, and an afternoon sitting with a Dharma reflection. In addition each retreatant will have 2 one-hour small practice group meetings during the course of the retreat; and Qigong/movement practice by pre-recorded sessions.

You will be have the opportunity to explore your own rhythms of sitting and walking during the retreat as you discover new ways to bring awareness practice into your home life.

We look forward to being together in virtual community and supporting your practice during these uncertain times.

Sayadaw U Tejaniya will not be present on this retreat.

Note: By signing up for this retreat, students commit to attend two large group practice meetings each day and a small group every-other-day.

Daily Large Group Practice Periods with Teachers
8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Main Instruction Period
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sitting with Reflection

Small Group Meetings with Teachers
Each student will meet with a teacher in small groups for one hour at two different times during the retreat. Timing for the practice meetings are yet to be determined. Students will have a choice of times and teachers.

QiGong/Movement
We will offer pre-recorded QiGong sessions from Franz Moeckl. You’re invited to weave these into your practice day as it works for you.

Individual Practice Periods – on own, away from Zoom
The retreat schedule was developed with a deep sense of home integration in mind. In addition to the group online experiences, the teachers will suggest that practitioners sit and walk in your own rhythms throughout the course of the retreat and will offer instructions on how to best do that within the framework of home practice.
