Jacques Verduin, MA Somatic Psych. is a father, community organizer and a teacher. He is the Founder and Director of the GRIP Program at Insight-Out, a non-profit that turns violence and suffering into opportunities for healing and learning for prisoners. The GRIP Program is currently running for 550 prisoners. Jacques has trained former prisoners to act as Change Agents in the community, working with youth to prevent violence and incarceration. He is a subject matter expert on mindfulness, emotional intelligence, restorative justice and transforming violence.  He has worked in prisons for 22 years and his work serves as a catalyst for statewide prison reform in California.

Join us for “Spirit Rock Live: Monday Nights with Jack Kornfield and Friends”, a Livestream of Monday Night.

Now in its 33rd year, the Monday Night sitting group at Spirit Rock has been a welcoming refuge to gather, hear the teachings of the Buddha, and practice insight meditation together as a community. The program includes a 30-40 min guided meditation, a short break, and a dharma talk.
