Description:
What is awakening? Awakening is the inspiration for many of us in our spiritual journey, but we may be unclear about what awakening really is, how it happens, and what we commonly encounter on the spiritual path. In this retreat, we will practice the four types of meditation rooted in tradition and confirmed by neuroscience. An overview of awakening as it is understood in many wisdom traditions is provided, misconceptions are clarified, and participants tune in to their own “flame” for awakening. The weekend will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, journaling and reflection, teaching periods, time outdoors, and Q&A. Suitable for all levels.
