Description:
What does it mean to be awake? When we write ourselves awake, what is the sleep that we awaken ourselves from? These are questions we shall explore from both a spiritual and a psychological point of view, in writing and in meditation. The act of writing necessarily brings moments and events to consciousness. It gives them form and structure in language so that we may see what we might not have seen or thought before. Writing our experience can illuminate poorly lit corners of the mind, making more concrete and visible feelings not fully integrated into our sense of self.
